January 2, 2020, which is weird to write, no? Specs and woods are from Kevin. Photos are from Kevin. I’m doing a photo shoot today, January 3, 2020, photos will be updated shortly. Kevin corrected me to say that the guitar is built with 5,000 year old Bog Oak, a new one for any of us! It looks like and sounds similar to Ebony, with a direct forceful push to the voices. An incredible guitar with voice and expression, sensitivity and drive, a classical guitar of superior class with grace and elegance. Kevin is listed among the top luthiers in the UK and for good reason. His guitars are elegant, with workmanship of the highest artisan level, and musical expression to leave one breathless. Note the lack of Rosewood in the guitar. Very smart. No International restrictions on this guitar, no CITES needed. I prefer to sell this guitar domestically or to have you come to the gallery in person to pick it up. __________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. Rich MP3 Audio – 200111-Prelude 15-2020 Kevin Aram Torres Mabel – Finalized version of Prelude #15 written by me in C Major – this is a fairly rough version, not mastered, recorded in my usual fashion, no edits, no production, well…nothing. You can even hear the noise in the background, from the front to the end when it gets quiet. It’s a pretty piece, with movement all over. I don’t know where it came from, but the theme was bouncing around in my head for a few days before I picked up a guitar and fleshed it out. This will be added to my next collection, Volume 2. I love it on this guitar as well.
